Periprosthetic fractures of the femur are sources of problems for the surgeon either in decision making or in technical execution. During this webinar, treatment guidelines for traumatic injuries and reconstruction techniques will be discussed based on different cases. The subdivision of institutional roles and experiences (trauma vs recon) may hide the best solution of these difficult fractures. The purpose of this webinar is to discuss and describe how to obtain the best solution for the patient.
After this learning experience the participant will be able to:
- Select the most appropriate solution in the revision of a total hip arthroplasty (THA)
- Describe how to manage interprosthetic fractures
- Apply the rules and principles of open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) in periprosthetic fractures around the femur
Registered participants will receive the webinar link by email 3 days prior to the event.
We recommend you to perform a function test and check the system requirements to ensure your computer is ready for the webinar.
The webinar is free of charge.
