Orthopedic and trauma surgeons discuss periprosthetic hip fractures at EFORT

AO Trauma and AO Recon held their second joint symposium at this year's EFORT congress in Vienna, Austria. World-renowned leaders from both subspecialties joined forces to address periprosthetic fractures (PPFx) in the hip as an overlap topic between trauma and arthroplasty.

Annual Report 2016 and future outlook

The AO Foundation Annual Report 2016 launches, including an article about AO Recon's recent activities and future plans. In 2016, AO Recon has developed as a global educational institution in the orthopedic world, and the first half of the new year already demonstrates a promising continuation.

In many respects, the AO Recon Advanced Knee Course in Marseille, France, was outstanding. Not only did an AO Recon event take place in France for the very first time, but it was also a first for AO Recon to offer an extensive course on complex arthroplasty.

Little Davos in Italy

Inaugural arthroplasty course starts meeting India's high educational demand

This time, the course took place in Hyderabad, a metropolis of seven million inhabitants in south central India. Despite huge demand, only 60 course seats were available, as limited seating at AO courses helps to ensure educational excellence.
