60 minutes were not much time to debate the multifaceted topics.

Orthopedic and trauma surgeons discuss periprosthetic hip fractures at EFORT

The speakers lectured to a full house, after many interested congress participants learned about the event shortly beforehand at the AO Foundation booth.

sixty packed minutes on ppfx

After the welcome and introduction, AOTrauma chairperson Jonathan Monk (UK) provided an overview covering epidemiology, risk factors, and challenges. He ended with an outlook, before George Babis (GR) presented PPFx around the acetabulum. Luigi Zagra (IT) continued with a presentation on PPFx around the femur. AORecon chairperson Carsten Perka (DE) completed the symposium with his contribution on complications.

upcoming curriculum course

Much to the audience's regret, the session was scheduled for only an hour, so the subjects could only be touched upon. Participants listened up when the brand-new curriculum course was announced. AOTrauma/AORecon Course—Periprosthetic Fracture Management will premiere during the AO Davos Courses 2017 in December.
